Vi har modtaget følgende invitation fra Friedrich Hausmann – sendt til Per Weiskvist:
I have just seen recent pictures of your Ker. Looks great! How was Fyn Rundt?
I am contacting you because I would like to draw your and the Danish sailing community’s interest to the German international Championship in Warnemünde from 5 to 11 July. The Championship will be devided into an Inshore and an Offshore part. The Inshore part consisting of two days Up & Down Races (5 and 6 July) and one coastal race on 7 July. The Offshore part will include the same coastal race on 7 July and the Round Bornholm Regatta starting on the 8th, which will be devided into one race Warnemünde – Bornholm (without stopping) and one race Warnemünde – Bornholm – Warnemünde, so two regattas in one. Warnemünde is a beautiful small city and infrastructure and the new marina a perfect for such an event. Also this will be true open sea racing, even the inshore part is in truly open water.
Details can be found on www.warnemuender-woche.com. Entry closes at 22 June. Maybe the event could interest the Danish big boat community. We would be very pleased to welcome participants from abroad.Next year we will have the ORCi Worlds in Kiel, which will defintively become a great event. The German Nationals could be an opportunity to prepare for the worlds and of course for the Royal ocean Cup in September.
In the meantime Volker and I have brought GER-OO closer to the German national sailing association and the so called RVS (Regattavereinigung Seesegeln). We hope that joining forces will produce some positive effects for sailing on the baltic shores. It would be great, if you could make the invitation public to your sailing community in Denmark. And of course it would be great to have you and Visione back in germany one of these days!
